
SANCTUARY FEATURES THE PAPAL ELECTION, PEACEMAKERS WORKSHOP AND WINNING VIDEOS
The Spring 2013 edition of Sanctuary features the election of Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina as our new Pontiff. Cardinal Francis George gives a first-had account at the election of Pope Francis. The program airs on ABC-7 on Sunday, April 21, at 11:30 am.
Sanctuary also takes viewers to the Blessed are the Peacemakers workshop, where Catholics discussed how the lessons of gospel non-violence can be used to help bring peace to our troubled neighborhoods. And viewers will be treated to a showing of the winning videos produced by teenagers to celebrate the importance of Sunday Mass

Sanctuary is the Archdiocese of Chicago's TV news magazine program that airs quarterly on ABC 7 Chicago. The program is hosted by Fr. Greg Sakowicz, pastor of St. Mary Parish in Evanston. Sanctuary is produced by the Archdiocesan Office of Radio and Television and is taped on location throughout the Chicago area.
The Winter-2012 edition of Sanctuary on ABC 7, Chicago, takes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the groundbreaking documentary, Catholicism, which is being televised nationwide and is also available on DVD.
