Letter from Cardinal
My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
During the weekend of Nov. 12-14, Catholics and religious leaders across the nation will observe the ninth annual National Donor Sabbath. This special weekend raises awareness, through religious communities, of the urgent need for organ and tissue donation.

Cardinal's letter for Jan. 3-4
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

You have heard and read much over the last two years about the Church's response to the tragedy of child sexual abuse by Catholic clergy. Now, two comprehensive national reports concerning this tragedy will finally be issued by the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops' Office of Child and Youth Protection and the National Review Board in Washington, D.C. I know the information contributed by the Archdiocese of Chicago to each report, but I do not have and have not seen the final comprehensive reports. I am looking forward to the information and perspective these reports are expected to provide.
