ARCHDIOCESE OF CHICAGO’S
CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Chicago, IL (November 11, 2009) – Centro de Trabajadores Unidos (CTU) was awarded $20,000 by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). A workers center, Centro de Trabajadores Unidos supports immigrant workers in the city, suburbs and northwest Indiana through the Immigrant Worker’s Project. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development works to help strengthen families and communities throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. This important work is made possible by donations from Catholic parishioners who are being asked to be as generous as possible this Thanksgiving season with their financial gifts to the annual CCHD collection the weekend of November 21 and 22. In 2008, ninety-five percent of Archdiocesan parishes participated in the CCHD collection.
