CATHOLICS COME HOME CHICAGO RETURNS
WITH MAJOR MULTI-MEDIA EVANGELIZATION APPROACH
Chicago, IL (August 12, 2010) – The Archdiocese of Chicago announced today that the evangelization initiative, Catholics Come Home Chicago, would return in December for a second year on local television stations and in parishes throughout Cook and Lake counties. After a positive response to last year’s efforts, new commercials, combined with various other media, will bring the welcome message to all people, especially Catholics who have drifted from the practice of their faith. The Dioceses of Joliet and Rockford are again participating with the Archdiocese of Chicago in this follow-up to the Catholics Come Home evangelization initiative.
Catholics Come Home Chicago will draw on last year’s success and introduce important new features. Television advertising will air in English, Polish and Spanish. In addition to the TV ads, the evangelization outreach will use other media including Internet, YouTube and social networking, as part of the Archdiocesan commitment to reach out to young people.
The Archdiocese’s Office for Evangelization will also offer resources to assist parishes, families and individuals to discover and re-discover their faith and Catholic, spiritual tradition.
The TV ads have been produced by Catholics Come Home, Inc., in Roswell, Georgia. For more information visit www.CatholicsComeHomeCHICAGO.org.
