"A CONCERT FOR THE JOURNEY"
Benefiting the Office for Immigrant Affairs and Immigration Education Monday, September 30, 7:30 p.m.

Chicago, IL (September 23, 2013) –The Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office for Immigrant Affairs and Immigration Education, along with the Chicago Federation of Labor, will present a concert featuring the City Lights Orchestra, conducted by Rich Daniels, on Monday evening, September 30, at 7:30 p.m.  “One Nation, One Family, One Dream - A Concert for the Journey” will take place at Holy Family Church, 1080 West Roosevelt Road in Chicago and will benefit the Office for Immigrant Affairs and Immigration Education. Guest musicians will include Linda Clifford, five-time Grammy-nominated artist; Suzanne Palmer, four-time Gold Record recording artist; and Rodrick Dixon and Alfreda Burke, internationally acclaimed operatic tenors. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Cardinal George will host a pre-concert reception and live auction in the Brunswick Room at St. Ignatius College Prep, next to Holy Family. Following the concert, Cardinal George will host a post-concert reception and silent auction in St. Ignatius’ Tully Hall.

At the concert, the Office for Immigrant Affairs will recognize community leaders whose generous work and dedication have helped to advance their mission in the Archdiocese and beyond.
