Description:
Responsible for all building janitorial duties, including the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas and the removal of snow and trash.
Responsible for the inspection of different equipment and performing any basic repairs or preventative maintenance of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety.
• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment. \
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and corrective action.
• Building janitorial duties.
• Special projects such as painting, and other tasks, as assigned.
• Responsible for various other assignments and projects, as assigned, consistent with the responsibility level and general duties of this position. Other duties may be deemed necessary by the Pastor or Maintenance Director.
Requirements:
Full time position (35 hours). Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed by the parish. Must be able to lift, push/pull 50lbs; climb ladders and stairs, as necessary; valid IL driver’s license; availability to work overtime, as needed. Must be able and willing to use power tools, lift, lawn maintenance equipment, snow removal equipment
